Grew up within walking distance of James Vernors Elementary School....you haven't had Vernors if you haven't had it on TAP! Too bad Vernors sold out to the various companies....Is it my imagination, or did they make it sweeter to meet the expectations of the "Pepsi Generation"? Or, is it not aged properly in oak making it seem sweeter? I can get it locally, but in 2L plastic or cans. My previous experience with cans years ago was it tasted like bugspray in cans...did they ever resolve this? Native Michigander, living in Florida. - Jell Bell

I currently reside in California and you cannot find any of the good things from home. I miss my Vernors, Faygo Red Pop and Better Made Red Hot chips. They have nothing good in Cali so don't believe the hype. I will be coming home in June and just believe that I will be stocking up and my goodies. Watch out UPS! Of course, I'm originally from MI and loves me some Vernors. I have been moving around for the last 10 yrs or so (military) and haven't come across Vernors anywhere outside of MI. Every time I see Vernor's I have to buy some. I grew up in Cincinnati, and moved to California, and now I live in Minnesota. I have enjoyed it all my life - first at 10yrs, and now I am forty. I am happy to have finally found a place to get it in the Twin Cities. And now you can say that someone is loving Vernor's in Minnesota. Keep up the good work. david. P.S. Everynow and then you will be able to find it in a grocery chain named Price Chopper. I live in Kansas City, Missouri and am constantly searching for the stuff. It's simply the best ginger ale...in the world. You can even buy some online I believe. - Josh
