you can find Vernors in LA at Ralph's (kroger) and Vons for sure, but at Vons they have it in the beer aisle, with the other mixers. This adds up since Vernors is owned by Schweppes now, and space is sold on grocery shelves by vendor, not by what makes sense to the shopper. Also since it's relatively unknown here, they usually have it on the very top or the very bottom shelf, so you have to hunt for it. - bug

I grew up in Pittsburgh and do remember enjoying Vernor's. It was interesting reading the posts about Boston Coolers. In my family I seem to recall a half of a cantaloupe filled with vanilla ice cream being referred to as a Boston Cooler. Does anyone know of a place in Central Minnesota that sells Vernor's? - Daryl Tindel
I have a wooden Vernors box from 1966. It is in almost mint condition. It has printed on the inside with: STURDY-BILT by Southern Wooden Box Inc. Jonesboro, Ark 3-66 Vernors is printed on each side of the box both inside and outside. Does anyone have information as to who might be interested is such a box for nostalgia reasons? I've read several emails on your website re Vernors and the Boston Cooler - specifically why this marevlous drink is called what it is called. It was indeed "invented" in Detroit and using Vernors with vanilla ice cream - but the drink is unknown in Boston and most every place else. The name of the drink is taken from a street in Detroit... Boston Boulevard. I grew up in Detroit... moved to Milwaukee with my father's job at American Motors in the 1950's and have been bringing back cases of Vernors to Milwaukee for years and years... only recently and to my great joy have we been able to start finding it again in stores around Southeastern Wisconsin. - S Samson
Where to Find Vernors in PA and Wetern NY. a Grocery Store called Wegmens or Wegmans used to sell it. Not sure about today. I have not been there in afew years. If you cannot find a place to buy vernors where you live, then order it from www.vernors.com for the person who wanted a Lable for his POP Machine. Right click on the two vernors cans on this page. Click Save Picture as. After the picture is saved, open it up with a photo editor/viewer. Print, cut out and stick in your PoP Machine. Hope this helps..... - Tim Brock
I was born in Michigan, then moved to Pennsylvania as a child. I have continued to enjoy Vernors Gingerale whenever possible and have introduced it to my wife and son. It is a family favorite! However, I live in the southcentral PA area and have stopped being able to find anyone who carries it. I also know of several ofther families in this area who love this soda.
