To have an ice cold six pack of Vernor's in BOTTLES! - Bob

My name is Diane I am from Canada, I lived in Ontario for most of my lfe where Vernors was available.Since I have moved to Alberta I am not able to get it.I have asked Sobey's to bring it in but they haven't, I miss this product.Can you help me get it into a Retail outlet here.Please advise. I have an old Vernor's bottle that is probably Quart size, 12 inches tall, 3 inches base width, no cap, greenish in color, says: Deliciously Different Vernor's Ginger Ale embossed around the middle, and around the bottom it says: Registered (twice) with 2 different sets of numbers and on the bottom says: Vernor's Ginger Ale Detroit, Mich. with VGA logo in the middle, how much do you think it will go for on eBay? Was this bottle originally sold in a carton or box with other bottles? What does the 2 sets of numbers mean? Thanks for your help. - Shalu

Hi everyone. My dad worked for Vernors for 26 years. We loved the Soda/pop. I loved going into the plant on Woodward Ave. Everyone knew me. I could walk right through the lobby, past Deloris the receptionist, and go right onto the factory floor. It is one of my best childhood-Adult memories. The employees were like family. We had baseball games in the summer. Christmas parties every year. When the plant closed, my dad was heartbroken. Not ready to retire by any means. Now, I'm in the Middle East and you mention Vernors, and people think you’re crazy. It's so good to go home and have a Float, or ham baked with Vernors. Thank you for keeping the Vernors Gnome alive... I have some Vernors items that once we get home I'll put on ebay. I have duplicates, so I might as well share with others. I have been reading some of the messages and no where does anyone bring up the best floats in the world. There is nothing like vanilla ice cream and Vernors. I'm in upstate NY now and one time when I went back to Michigan I drank 2 floats one after the other. It's funny that other people who were never introduced to Vernors really like it when they taste it. I went to my 35th HS reunion and I broght back a bunch of Vernors. Having lived on the beautifull shores of Lake Huron, in a great little Norman Rockwell town called "Harrisville" my granfather used to carry Vernon's at his general store. Growing up there,none of us had need for doctors too much as Grandma used to just fix us her version of warm Vernon's to treat most ailments. And now, they are both gone....as is a source for Vernon's. Can anyone tell me where I can find a source for this wonder beverage in the Portland Oregon area or Seattle..prefferably in bottles...? I and my 94 year old mother would be most gratefull... thank you. - Al

I love to drink this pop. I grew up in Detroit. Everytime I go home or contact my classmates from high school even bug my family members to send me the pop. I cherish the bottles I have. I want let no one have one but myself. This is very good for cramps, plus if you are feeling under the weather and have an upset stomach drink one can or bottle of the VERNORS GINGER ALE. You will be set and cured. You will feel 100% better. I am down to 14 bottles left. When I go to Chicago I will look for it. Hopefully they have it. Other wise I will have to wait until my reunion next year to get more. - Cynthia
