Here's another "how old is this Vernors bottle" question. I have a 10 oz. clear glass bottle with raised lettering. It has the message "Genuine only when Crown Cork has the above design in Red." Above this statement are the words "Vernor's Ginger Ale and then a circle with a design and around it is Vernor's Ginger Ale - Detroit Mich." The same design and wording appears on the bottom. On the other side is"This bottle contains 10 oz. 1143EG24." Can anybody give me the age of this bottle? - john z

i am in search for Vernon's ginger ale for my brother. He use to get it when he lived in Norfolk but now he can't find it. Want to get him some as a surprise. A Michigander by birth, now displaced to Connecticut, I stock up on Vernors when home, but have now run out. I have tried other national brands, but they are miserable; flat, tasteless. I must give in and pay the expensive shipping charges. I cannot drink these poor imitation ginger ales another day. - Cathy

i just left my favorite grovery store where i have always been able to purchase my favorite drink, vernors. there has been nary a can on the shelves for weeks. i asked the manager and he told me that we should have some in by the end of the month. pepsi used to distribute it and they did not renew their contract. now canada dry has picked up the contract to distribute it (vernors) in florida and we should be good to go within a couple of weeks. - martha

I am a New York sophisticate - so I thought. I was visiting my daughter in Hadley when she popped a Vernors Ginger soda in my mouth. Having done some of my schooling in Michigan (around rhe turn of last century), Vernors, unfortunately, was not a part of my education. No one in New York ever mentioned Vernors. So much for New York being the knowledge center of the universe. I still work full time - my wife and I are fighting like cats and dogs (which by the way, don't necessarily fight); I in sist we have to buy a winter home in Michigan so I can be assured of a steady supply of Vernors. Other than Mission Orange (which I will not explain) Vernors is where it is at. Thank the good lord it can be ordered. Hopefully we can fit it into our budget. - Steve

We are no longer able to get Vernors Ginger Ale in Central FL. Apparently, there is a problem since Pepsi carries it but it is not obtainable through them here? Go figure. Anyway, can someone tell me if they know an area in central FL that carries Vernors? We live slightly north of Tampa. I've tried Winn Dixie and Walmart and it is a no-go on both of them. - L

Aloha, Just a note, got my order of Vernor's yesterday, opening a can I let the scent of the ale take me back to my youth, when I would bicycle down to the foot of Woodward and watch the bottling operation go on in the old Vernors bottling plant for it seemed like hours. The Bob-Lo boats (boat?) would come and go, the people would dis-embark and as a last treat go into the fountain for a glass of Vernors or a cream ale. Mahalo and aloha nui loa from prardise.
