I lived in Michigan for 5 years and enjoyed drinking Vernors (ginger ale?) some of the time but now that since I live in Minnesota and there are stores such as Byerly's selling 12 oz 6 packs I yearn for the bottles, 16.9 oz or 500 ml. My sister would ask me to go to Cub Foods to buy some to remedy her stomach. On a recent trip to Milwaukee and upon entering Michigan (Menominee) from the south the stores there are full of 6-packs of Vernors!!! Stopping at gas stations and stores I find they store 'em all the Western Michigan, that is, on the way there. Some spots in NE Indiana, too! - Dale

Can anyone tell me where I could find Vernors in Georgia? My husband and I, being lifelong Michigan natives, love vernors. Almost no one has even heard of it. I can't go without it, especially when I'm sick, my mom used to put a slice of lemon in it and warm it up. It always did the trick. And what about the ice cream? - Erin Sheets

We are a family of displaced Michiganders in Utah. We can sometimes get here the 12oz glass bottles. How can we make that all of the time? We just love it and as far as drinking some we feel it tastes better out of the glass. - Kathy Head

Hi: I live in Missouri and my dad is undergoing chemotherapy and wants some vernors ginger ale. I can only find canada dry here. Does anyone know of anyplace in Missour that carries Vernors brand ginger ale? I would really appreciate it. I found the website but shipping for 12 bottles is 16.00. RE: Daryl's message. My grandmother also grew up in Pittsburgh and referred to Cantalope with Vanilla Ice cream as a Boston Cooler. Whenever it gets too hot, I always make myself one. - Andy

you can find Vernors in LA at Ralph's (kroger) and Vons for sure, but at Vons they have it in the beer aisle, with the other mixers. This adds up since Vernors is owned by Schweppes now, and space is sold on grocery shelves by vendor, not by what makes sense to the shopper. Also since it's relatively unknown here, they usually have it on the very top or the very bottom shelf, so you have to hunt for it. - bug

I grew up in Pittsburgh and do remember enjoying Vernor's. It was interesting reading the posts about Boston Coolers. In my family I seem to recall a half of a cantaloupe filled with vanilla ice cream being referred to as a Boston Cooler. Does anyone know of a place in Central Minnesota that sells Vernor's? - Daryl Tindel
