I can find Vernors routinely here in Florida, and the stuff in cans has improved from 20 years ago, but I still think that Vernors is not the same since bought by Cadbury/Seven UP. Is it my imagination, or is it sweeter and slightly less intense? I still love my Vernors, but it doesn't seem quite as intense. I'm a native Michigander (family settled in the Saginaw Valley b/4 MI was a state), and went to James Vernors Elementary in the 50's. Vernor's ON TAP at special events at school and trips to the Vernor's plant. - jb
We have moved to Buckhannon, West Virginia, and I'm looking for a store that carries Vernor's Ginger Ale nearby. Anyone have any information? - Carolyn Crozier
I recently aquires an antique Vernor's Ginger Ale sign from the 40's or 50's and was wondering if anyone out there is interested in purchasing it..it's about 47" wide and 118" long..a little rusted..it came from a gas station in Michigan and is in NJ presently. Thank you - Steven Alessio
I grew up in Michigan drinking Vernors and have always been a fan. It has been just one of those things that was always around. When I first moved to Florida as I remember I had trouble finding it. But I'm happy to say that I now find it in most all of my local grocery stores around the Orlando area including Winn Dixie, Publix, and Albertson's. It's great to still have some things that I thought were only a midwest thing available so far from where I grew up. Keep up the great work! - Michael
I live in the San Fernanco Valley,(CA). Once I was able to buy Vernors at Vons but not lately? Is there any place where it is still available? We are elderly folks with fond memories of buying "floats" at the factory store just off the Detroit River back in the late 30s and early 40s. Is it still available out here at an affordable price? - ruth
My youngest daughter is stationed at Camp LeJeune NC and on my last visit announced 'Food Lion on Piney Green has VERNORS!!' Two full cases! Buffalo Rock from Birmingham AL is a good ginger ale. A stronger flavor almost a ginger beer. But I have to search for it, too; and I only live 65 miles from B'ham! - Stephanie
This stuff is the bomb!!! Just brought back 6-12packs from my last visit to Ohio!!!!! I would have brought back more but ran out of room in the trunk of my car!! Here's to all the Vernor's fans!!! - sallyann
My Father (may God rest his soul) was a HUGE Vernor's fan. He purchased it by the case and us children were "forbidden" to take from his private stash. Growing up near Buffalo, NY, it was plenty available, but we were offered the Canada Dry Ginger Ale which was light and sweet. It's good, but Vernor's was the Holy Grail. Dad always made sure I was able to get a glassfull on those occassions when he had some himself. It made me feel special that he let ME have some Vernor's when my six brothers and sisters were drinking the other stuff. (Little did I know, we ALL were getting a little Vernor's if we wanted it.) Now I taste Vernor's and it brings back memories of Dad, those Holiday parties, those summer picinics and other special times. Thanks James Vernor. And thank you for keeping it going. - Jim
I have been looking for Vernors in the Tallahassee, FL area. If anyone know of a store in Tallhassee or neaby that carries Vernors, please let me know. Thanks - Mary Grayson
