I think the only reason they do not make a throw back version with sugar is the almighty dollar. Shameful. I want my hfcs free Vernon’s. - Mary Donald

My dad worked for years at Squirt Bottling Co in East Liberty, Pittsburgh, Pa. They also bottled Vernors. This was @ 1960. Brought it home by the case. Boy, could that stuff spray when you shook it!! And, it tasted so good, made your eyes water! - don Rasile

I had relative in the thumb of MI and got hooked on Vernor's. Recent I found it here in NY but it was just for a short time. For some reason they stopped carrying it. What will I do without my vernors? - Megan Wood

I also am a Michigander being born and raised there the first half of my life. I moved to SE Texas in 2004 and could not find Vernors anywhere. Then a new Kroger Marketplace opened up here in town a couple of weeks ago and as I was strolling down the soft drink aisle - BAM - there was Vernors staring me right in my face! As I suffer from a stomach ulcer and remember the myth of the medicinal effect of the drink, naturally I bought some. NO MORE ABDOMINAL PAINS! Thank you Vernors for being available here! I also wish you would return to the original wooden barrel aged recipe just for the taste I remember so long ago! - Robert Best

I've grown up drinking ginger ale. For the longest time is was the only soda my grandmother would buy, and since I spent so much time at her home, I drank a lot of it. Been drinking it since I can remember, and no matter what it tastes amazing. Cold, Warm, fizzy, flat, it doesn't matter. - Thomas
